Meeting Notes– University City Bike and Walk Task Force
4.13.2011 and Page 3

road. Lynette suggested that the Traffic Commission be invited to one of our meetings for
follow-up.

The walk subgroup reports that it is still putting together its walk report from its assessment
of Olive Blvd. Carol noted that at least one business (Hartmann’s) was encroaching on the
Olive sidewalk and had taken it over for its business. Shannon will report this to the City’s
Community Development function.

7) Other Old Business
Margaret has asked Patrick Owns of Great Rivers Greenways to make a presentation at our
next meeting.
Lynette gave Margaret a list of other University City boards and Commissions so that she
can assess which might overlap with the Task Force’s work. Carol volunteered to try to find
out whether we can sign up to automatically get the agendas and minutes of these groups.

8) New Business
Margaret reported that she has a chart showing where there are and are not sidewalks. Data
is incomplete but the areas without sidewalks are mostly in the north and west parts of the
city.

9) Any additional business
NONE

10) Action items PRIOR TO 4/5/11
Submit names of people for stakeholder interviews.
