Mr.
Ollendorff recommends that this project be awarded to Midwest Mudjacking ~
Construction Co., Inc. for their low bid of $92,884.00.

Mr. Schoomer moved adoption of the Consent Calendar. Mr. Wagner seconded the
motion, which carried unanimously.

AGENDA NO. 2: PUBLIC HEARING: COMMUNICATION TOWER ZONING:

Mr. Oliendorff said that this public hearing deals with a proposed amendment to the zoning
ordinance, which deals with zoning regulations for the placement of telecommunication
towers fifty feet or higher and are limited to land that is more than two hundred feet from
residences and has a number of other of restrictions which would approve the appearance
and the protection of surrounding properties.

Mayor Adams declared the public hearing open.

Ms. Linda Kraft, 72 75 Creveling, said that she is working with a group of people on a
project called The Green Center, which is a natural laboratory and cultural gathering place
to be located at Kaufman Park in University City. She wanted to inform Council that the
Friends of the Green Center is hoping to install a windmill on a tower at this location as a
means of reducing electrical costs and for an educational model of a viable means for
collecting energy from a renewable source. They hope to open the Green Center and
procure and install a windmill within the upcoming year. She felt these plans may relate to
this proposed ordinance.
