the City Clerk. Mr. Greiman noted that the minutes should reflect when the
Amended Annual Report is submitted to the City Council.
Mr. Greiman noted that the Annual Report for 2010 should be a brief summary
including the dates of our meetings, a copy of the Rules of Procedure that were
adopted and the Civil Service Rules and Regulations as amended. The
undersigned is to draft the summary and circulate it to all members for anticipated
approval at the Board meeting to be held during the first quarter of 2011.
New Business
Ms. Watson handed out the following documents, which are attached hereto:
Personnel Litigation Settlement Results
Report of Reorganization
Request for New Position Classifications for four (4) positions:
Administrative Analyst
Human Resources Manager
Senior Accountant
Finance Officer
Mr. Walker reported on the personnel litigation settlements of the two lawsuits that
were pending when he assumed office. Mr. Walker also reported on his
reorganization of the City Administration staff. He stated that he was instructed by
City Council to close the gap in the budget and that his reorganization of the
Administration will result in a savings of approximately $325,000. There was a
general discussion of issues relating to the reorganization and staff layoff.
Ms. Watson stated that the requests for job classifications are self-explanatory and
she directed us to the new organization chart included in the hand-outs.
Mr. Walker stated that he would like to have the Board’s recommendation before
the end of the year. The Board agreed to meet on December 21, 2010, at 7:00 p.m.
Ms. Weber moved to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.; Mr. Damick seconded; motion carried
unanimously.
Respectfully submitted,
Jan Adams, Secretary
2
