Gerry Greiman, Chair, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Conference <br />Room 6, City Hall. <br />Members Present: Jan Adams <br /> Victor Pichon <br /> Phyllis Weber <br />Council Liaison: Michael Glickert <br />Administration: Lehman Walker <br /> Rick Brown <br /> Janet Watson <br />Approval of Minutes <br />2. <br />Minutes of the meeting of December 21 were amended to change the words <br />“protracted” to “thorough” and to include the amended sections of the Civil <br />Service Rules and Regulations as addendum to the minutes. <br />The Board congratulated Victor Pichon on receipt of the Martin Luther King <br />award. <br />Public Comments <br /> None <br />3. <br />Old Business <br />4. None <br />New Business <br /> <br />5. <br />A. Civil Service Rules <br />1. Mr. Walker explained that his proposed changes to Section 4.5.A. of the <br />Civil Service Rules would allow him latitude to hire employees above a Step C <br />classification where circumstances warranted. A motion to approve Section <br />IV.5.A, as submitted, carried unanimously. <br />2. Mr. Walker explained that his proposed changes to Section VI.4 of the <br />Civil Service Rules would exempt the high school students who are hired for a 10- <br />1 <br /> <br />
