<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes – University City Green Practices Committee <br /> <br />July 13, 2011 - Draft <br /> <br />Location:University City Hall, Second Floor Conference Room <br />Attendees: Lynnette Hicks, Donna Leach-Heimos, Tim Michels, Jeffrey Mishkin, Neville Rapp, Lynn <br />Ricci, Lois Sechrist <br />Absent: Jerry Breakstone , Linda Fried <br />Visitors: Jason Siebert, University City Patch <br /> <br />1. Opening Round: <br />a. Lois has a new position as a Sustainability Analyst with Ascension Health. <br />b. Jeff has been meeting with Jenny Wendt and Tim Michels on the street lighting study. <br />c. The Parks department is proposed to be merged with Public Works, if approved by City Council. <br />d. University City Jazz Festival: Saturday, September 24. <br />2. Administrative items: <br />a. The June 8, 2011 minutes were approved. <br />b. Corrections to the May minutes will be sent to Lois and will be issued to the committee. <br />nd <br />c. Next meeting date: August 10, 6:00 pm – 7:30 p.m., University City Hall, 2 Floor Conference <br />Room. RSVP if you cannot attend so we can determine in advance if we will lack a quorum. <br />3. Status for the Green Practices Commission Ordinance: Lois will issue the Ordinance language, which was <br />verbally approved by the committee in the April 13, 2011 meeting. Donna will send the document to <br />Joyce Pumm to be added to the July City Council meeting agenda. <br />4. Topics for a milestone report and proposed Study Session (date TBD, after Green Practices becomes a <br />Commission): <br />a. Final Sustainability Plan <br />b. Final Greenhouse Gas Inventory report <br />c. Final Street Lighting report <br />d. Energy Policy for the City <br />5. All Committee members will resign and be re-appointed as Commission members. Please submit <br />“Applications for Citizen Boards and Commissions” to Joyce Pumm as soon as possible so there are no <br />issues with being re-appointed. <br />6. Sustainability Plan status: <br />a. Phyllis Blalock is working with Linda Fried on their report section. When Linda returns to town, <br />Lois can obtain the documents and finalize the Sustainability Plan. <br />b. Lois already has changes from Neville and Lynnette. <br />c. If anyone else has final changes, notify Lois as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
