Richard Dockett, 6844 Crest Ave <br />Mr. Dockett spoke on his the Rothgrove Neighborhood Associate. He thanked the City’s <br />staff for all their work. Mr. Dockett asked the City to be sure the police department is <br />being equipped with all the equipment they need for their safety and the safety of others <br />as well. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci said she was pleased that there were five public hearings prior to this hearing <br />and that the Council received the budget book in February instead of June 1. <br /> <br />Public Hearing was closed at 7:29 p.m. <br /> <br />J. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />K. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br /> <br />1. <br />Agreement with St. Louis County to provide low interest rates loans to residential <br />property owners to make energy efficiency improvements. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft stepped off the dais for a couple of minutes. <br /> <br />Voice vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br />Purchase of six 2011 Chevrolet Impala Police Cars for a total price of $121,158 <br />from Don Brown Chevrolet. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve and was seconded by Mr. Crow. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert asked if the new police cars would have front bumpers for pushing cars <br />that may be stranded. Mr. Walker said he would get back to him with that <br />information. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked when the last was purchase of this many vehicles and what <br />percentage of the fleet were these six and was these purchases in accordance with <br />the fleet maintenance schedule replacement. Mr. Walker said that it was in <br />accordance with the fleet schedule and the first two parts of his question he would <br />get back with an answer. <br /> <br />Voice vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br />L. COUNCIL REPORTS AND BUSINESS <br />1. <br />Council liaison reports on Boards and Commissions. <br />Ms. Ricci spoke on the Green Practice Commission and the Parks Commission. <br />Green Practices Committee is moving forward with the effort to make the group a <br />formal City Commission. She noted the Parks Commission spoke on the Ackert <br />Walkway issue and noted that it was not raised before the Commission. The best <br />Ms. Ricci could discern was that it did not go before Council. She said it was <br />considered by Arts and Letters in their meeting minutes but was not posted as an <br />agenda item. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe spoke on the Arts and Letters Commission noting they were working on <br />the Concerts in the Park for this summer. <br /> <br />
