statue where the grant was accepted and years later there was not the proper policy in
place related to this grant which caused some jeopardy. Ms. Ricci said she would like to
know what is out there, who is applying for the grant, have they come before Council,
and what the status of these grants is, so Council can be sure where the City is. She
recommended that Council have a Study Session with the Great Rivers Greenway and
their map so the Council can globally see the plan for the Greenway in University City
and outside of University City. Ms. Ricci said she is concerned about UCity meeting
their obligations. She said the Great Rivers Greenway provided a cooperative
agreement signed by the prior City Manager, dated July 2010, which was a time
subsequent to her departure from the City.

Mr. Glickert said he was the lone dissenting voter on the driving range many years ago.
He noted that one of the things he does remember was a power point presentation given
by the former Director of Recreation and Parks. Mr. Glickert said that even though he
was against the project he did think the lights that were proposed to be used were
tastefully done, but he noted those were bunker lights that were proposed and not what
is present now. He asked that the city Manager to get the power point presentation with
the bunker lights that were shown to the Council and make it available in the City Clerk’s
office.

Mayor Pro-Tem announced the dedication of the Greenway and the dedication of the
Chuck Berry statue on July 29.

Mr. Glickert moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m and carried unanimously.

Joyce Pumm, MRCC
City Clerk
