<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor Adams and City Council <br /> <br />From: Julie Feier, City Manager <br /> <br />Date: September 8, 2006 <br /> <br />Subject: Weekly Update <br /> <br /> <br />There are two attachments regarding upcoming Council Study Sessions: <br /> <br />th <br />Economic <br />At the September 18 Study Session we will be reviewing the current <br />Development Subsidy Policy <br /> with Planning Director Lehman Walker. To that <br />end, the current policy is attached for your review. <br /> <br />th <br />the City Clerk’s job <br />For the October 9 study session you requested we review <br />description <br /> and responsibilities. To that end, I have attached the University <br />City’s City Clerk job description as well as descriptions from other municipalities <br />for your advance consideration. To better facilitate the meetings, please do not <br />hesitate to forward any questions or ideas to either Ms. Pumm or me in advance <br />of either meeting. <br /> <br />th <br />For discussion at the September 18 Council meeting, I have attached a redraft <br />Council Work Rules. <br />of the The clean version should be easier to read. Please <br />be prepared for further discussion or adjustments at the Council meeting so that <br />th <br />we might forward them for formal approval at your October 9 Council Meeting. <br />Several issues have been brought up that will require further clarity including a <br />ten cent per page charge for requested documents as per the Sunshine Law <br />requirements and the number of Councilmembers which may be copied on any <br />one email. All items remain open for discussion. <br /> <br />Invitations: <br />St. Louis County Municipal League <br />At the next meeting the Mayor will accept a <br />proclamation on behalf of University City honoring the City's 100 years of <br />incorporation. The meeting will be September 28 in Shrewsbury MO at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />
