SESSI011 1149 <br />11INUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />December 27, 1976 <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City, held in the <br />Assembly Room of the City hall on Monday, December 20, 1976, Mayor Nathan <br />B. Kaufman presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. In addition <br />to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br />11r. Lawrence Lieberman <br />1r. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />11r. II. Hadley Grimm <br />1Ir. Joseph W. Mooney <br />Mr. Jason T. Weissenburger <br />Urs. Elsie B. Glickert <br />Also present were City .tanager Victor A. Ellman and Gregory Sheehan, Jr., <br />Acting City Manager. <br />MI1dUTES : <br />Councilman Adams moved the following correction of the 11inutes of the Council <br />meeting of December 2, 1976: on page 2, subject CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - U -HAUL <br />CONPAiNY OF EASTERN MISSOURI, the second line of the second paragraph should <br />be changed to read, "He said that a chain link fence with redwood slats would <br />be installed.....". Motion was seconded by Councilman Weisseaburger and <br />unanimously carried. <br />Councilman Adams moved that the Minutes of the Council meeting held on Decem- <br />ber 2, 1976, be approved, as amended. Notion was seconded by Councilman <br />Weisseaburger and unanimously carried. <br />COBIUNICATIONS : <br />None. <br />APPOINTPIENT - MRS. DOP.OT3Y FIGUERAS - TRAFFIC C=11SSIO?I: <br />Councilmen Adams moved the appointment of Mrs. Dorothy Figueras, 6945 Cornell, <br />as a member of the Traffic Commission, for a term expiring January 21, 1978, <br />replacing Mr. Norman Eisenberg, who has moved out of the City. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Glickert and unanimously carried. <br />NOTE OF APPRECIATION - 11R. NORMAN EISENBERG - T r IC C011MISSION: <br />Councilman Adams moved that on behalf of the Council, a note of appreciation <br />be sent to Mir. Norman Eisenberg, who recently resigned as a member of the <br />Traffic Commission, expressing thanks for the time and effort he devoted <br />while serving on the Commission. Motion was seconded by Councilman Glickert <br />and unanimously carried. <br />CITY 11, 4AGER' S REPORTS: <br />CONTRACT FOR ADMINISTRATION OF COT-91JUITY DEVELOPMENT ACT PROJECTS: <br />City Hanager Ellman stated that the City has negotiated au agreament with <br />Mr. R. Tinsley Parke, Executive Director of the Land Clearance for Redevelop- <br />ment Authority, to assume responsibility for administration of Community <br />
