CONSIDERATION OF COMIT.IONAL USE .PERMIT FOR RESTAURANT NT AT 6518 OLIVE BOULEVARD The City Manager said Mr. Robert Tran Du Tho applied for a conditional use permit to operate a carry -out restaurant at 6.618 Olive Blvd. The Plan Commission unani- mously approved the application, with the following conditions: 1. A screened dumpster shall be provided in the rear; 2. Refuse containers shall be provided in the front for the carry- out trade. Mr. Tho, 1353 Sarandale, and Mr. Al Kaufman, 14 Spoede Hills, Mr. Tho's attorney, were present to answer questions. In response to Mayor Mooney-, both said they understood the conditions. Councilmember Sabol.moved approval. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Kelley and passed unanimously. CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR REPLACEMERT OF BRIDGE BEAM..,. The City Manager said the City solicited bids for the removal and replacement of an inadequate bridge beam -at Kingsland and Crest Avenues. Responses to the bid invitation are as follows:_ Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. $ 9,700 Kirkwood Contractors, Inc. $ 9,831 St. Louis Bridge.Co $ 9,900. Christian Contracting, Inc. $ 9,922 Kloster Company, Inc.. $10,250 Bennish & Bommarito Constr. Co. $13,857 Engineers' estimate. $1.4,000 Funding for the installation of the beam will be from the contractual services account $2620-26.02. It is appropriate at this time to transfer $11,579 from Contingency for this purpose-in.the following breakdown: $ 1,879_- Fabricating,the beam 9,700 - Installing the beam $ 11,.579 Total.cost. It is the recommendation of the staff that the contract be awarded to Kozeny- Wagner, Inc. for their lowest and best bid of $9,700. Kozeny-Wagner has advised that the beam is ready and could be installed next week.
