SESSION 1239 <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />March 10, 1980 <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City, held in the Assembly <br />Room of the City Hall on Monday, March 10, 1980, Mayor Joseph W. Mooney presided <br />and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. In addition to the Mayor, the follow- <br />ing members of the Council were present: <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe <br />Mr. Patrick J. Kelley <br />Mr. Allen Sabol <br />Mrs. Elsie Glickert <br />Also present were City Manager Victor A. Ellman and City Attorney Dennis F. Kay. <br />OATH OF OFFICE - CITY MANAGER <br />Mayor Mooney said Mr. Frank G. 011endorff, who is to be sworn in as City Manager <br />this evening, had met many of the city employees at a reception earlier today at <br />City Hall. The Mayor paid tribute to the dedication and loyalty of the employees <br />of University City. He also said the Council and the City were sorry to lose the <br />services of Victor Ellman as City Manager, although Mr. Ellman will be with the <br />City for some time to help make a smooth transition. The Mayor praised Mr. Ell - <br />man's devotion and loyalty to the City. <br />Mr. 011endorff was then sworn in by Mayor Mooney as the new City Manager of Uni- <br />versity.City. The Mayor congratulated him and said he looked forward to a long <br />and successful association. Mr. 011endorff then took his position on the dais <br />with the Council Members and City Attorney. <br />RESOLUTION - CITY MANAGER'S SALARY <br />Councilman Metcalfe moved that the salary for the new city manager, Mr. Frank G. <br />011endorff, be set at $38,500. Councilman Sabol seconded the motion, which car- <br />ried unanimously. <br />OATHS OF OFFICE <br />Mr. Edward C. Lehmuth, Jr., was sworn in as a member of the Board of Building Code <br />Appeals by the Acting City Clerk. <br />Mr. Joseph E. Humphrey,..recently appointed to the Park -Commission, was sworn in <br />by the Acting City Clerk. <br />Mayor Mooney commented that the Council and the City very much appreciate the dedi- <br />cation of the people who sit on the boards and commissions of University City. <br />MINUTES <br />Councilman Lieberman said there was an error in the minutes of February 25, 1980. <br />On page 12, under LEGISLATION UNDER CONSIDERATION BY THE STATE LEGISLATURE, in the <br />
