Session 1239, Minutes Page 2 <br />March 10, 1980 <br />fourth line of the first paragraph, the word Senate should be changed to House, and <br />in the fifth line, house should be changed to senate. Councilman Lieberman moved <br />that correction. The motion was seconded by Councilman Metcalfe and carried unani- <br />mously. <br />Councilman Adams said there was an error on page 3 in the fourth paragraph under <br />PROCESSING OF CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE APPLICATIONS. He noted that he had said <br />he was in favor of transferring 2% of the 5% franchise fee, if legal, to Channel 9, <br />rather than the school system. He moved that correction, with a second from Coun- <br />cilman Lieberman. The motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilman Sabol moved that the minutes of February 25, 1980, be approved as cor- <br />rected. Councilman Glickert seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor Mooney moved the appointment of Mr. Heinz E. Zobel, 7131 Maryland, to the <br />Board of Building Code Appeals, replacing Mr. Ernest Brown, for a term expiring <br />August 1, 1984. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glickert and carried unan- <br />imously. <br />Councilman Adams moved the appointment of Ms Leesa Freedman Gornish, 8031 Stanford, <br />to the Boards of Trustees of the Uniformed and Non -Uniformed Employees Pension Plan, <br />replacing Mr. Stephen Coburn, for a term expiring July 1, 1981. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Sabol and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Glickert moved the appointment of Mr. Rodney Johnson, 7062 Plymouth, to <br />the Library Board, replacing Mrs. Yolanda Wanek, for a term expiring June 30, 1981. <br />Mr. Johnson has been serving on the Traffic Commission, but has resigned in order <br />to be appointed to the Library Board. The motion was seconded by Councilman Met- <br />calfe and carried unanimously. <br />NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES COMMITTEE.APPOINTMENTS. <br />Mayor Mooney said Councilman Adams had recently been reappointed to the Transpor- <br />tation, Public Safety and Communications Policy Committee, and in that capacity <br />has been asked to serve as a consultant in Washington, D. C. next week. <br />The Mayor said Councilman Lieberman has been reappointed to the Steering Committee <br />on Human Development, and also serves as First Vice -President of the Missouri Mu- <br />nicipal League. <br />Mayor Mooney said he had been appointed to the Finance, Administration, and Inter- <br />governmental Relations Steering Committee, which meets in Washington, D. C. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br />CONDOMINIUM CONVERSIONAT 6621•UNIVERSITY DRIVE <br />The City Manager said Mr. Elmer J. Gidlow, 6518 Clayton Road, President of Herman. <br />_ Glick Realty Co., has submitted an .application for conversion of a four -family <br />building at 6621 University Drive to a condominium: The application is in com- <br />pliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 5190. <br />
