MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 28, 2006 At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the City Hall, on Monday, August 28, 2006, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Robert Wagner Ms. Stefany Brot Mr. Byron Price Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. Mr. Michael Glickert Ms. Lynn Ricci Also present was the City Manager, Julie Feier. MINUTES August 14, 2006, Regular Council Session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Mr. Glickert and unanimously approved. August 17, 2006, Special Session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by Ms. Brot, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and unanimously approved. APPOINTMENTS ? Ms. Lynn Ricci was sworn in as Councilmember for Ward Two by the City Clerk. Ms. Ricci officially took her seat on the Council after the ceremony. ? Ms. Brot moved to reappointed Darlene Davidson to the Historic Preservation Commission, seconded by Mr. Price and was unanimously approved. ? Mayor Adams moved to appoint Jennifer Stokes to the Board of Adjustment, seconded by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. ? Mayor Adams moved to appoint Batya Abramson-Goldstein to the Second Century Commission, seconded by Mr. Sharpe Jr. and approved unanimously. ? Morton Hyman was sworn in by the City Clerk to the Traffic Commission. PROCLAMATION Mayor Adams read the proclamation that would be presented during the E. G. Lewis Dedication on Sunday, September 3, 2006. PUBLIC HEARING – Tax Rates for FY 2006 – 2007 The Public Hearing was opened at 7:00 p.m. There was not anyone present who wished to make a comment on the tax bills. The Public Hearing was closed at 7:05 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING – Bill introduced on Trees and Shrubs Regulations The Public Hearing was opened at 7:07 p.m.
