CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY AT 8342 DELCREST FROM "PA" -
PUBLIC ACTIVITY DISTRICT, TO "HRO" - HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL-
OFFICE DISTRICT; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS

Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel
Ms. Glickert questioned the reduction of hours at the natatorium. She said that this should
be given back to the Park Commission for discussion. In the past year swimmers were
requested to register but no sign-in forms were available: many more swam than the
estimated numbers. To the surprise of past pass holders, partial passes were no longer
available. Now a swimmer had to buy a 20 pass card for $48.00 which equates to $4.50
for one hour of swimming. The other option was $82.50 to swim at the outdoor pool in
Heman Park or $126.50 to include swimming in the indoor natatorium. Ms. Glickert
requested the Council review this new, unjust policy.

Richard Docket, 6844 Crest Ave
Mr. Docket was in support of Elsie Glickert’s comments at the last Council Session. He felt
it was unfair the way trash had to be was picked up in the third ward as compared to the
other two wards. He was in favor of having individual trash containers rather that sharing
dumpsters with multiple families.

COUNCIL COMMENTS

Ms. Brot applauded the MetroLink events and praised the University City High School
band for an excellent performance. She applauded all people who attended this event.
Ms. Brot would like the City Manager to check into the placement of signs at the Big Bend
Station as she felt they were not accessible for shorter people to read.

Ms. Brot asked City Manager to look into reinstating the natatorium hours.

Mr. Sharpe Jr. also requested City Manger to look into the concept of just a pass for the
natatorium, an affordable pass for the whole season.

Mr. Price asked City Manager to see why Ward 3 still has dumpsters instead of individual
carts. Ms. Feier said that she had thought that having the carts in the narrow alleys would
make it too tight for the garbage trucks: however, Mr. Feier promised to revisit the issue.
Mr. Wagner said that the residents of his area in Ward One like the dumpsters and do not
want to go to individual containers.

Ms. Ricci thanked the Council and stated that she will do her best to represent the Second
Ward.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.

Ms. Brot moved to have an Executive Session at 9:00 p.m. preceded by a continuation of
earlier Study Session, seconded by Mr. Sharpe Jr. and approved unanimously.
