I will plan to bring the substitute tree <br />ordinance back on the October 9 agenda and the work rules on the October 23 <br />agenda unless I hear otherwise. In the interim, your feedback is welcome. There <br />are also two draft ordinances for your review. Chapter 8.40 deals with the <br />municipal code relating to weeds. I would like to address some administrative <br />issues as they relate to the issuance of special tax bills. The amendments reflect <br />our current practices. The second ordinance, which was requested by <br />Councilmember Price, relates to Chapter 6 concerning dogs. The proposed <br />amendment would increase the required insurance premium from $100,000 to <br />$500,000 directly affecting six dogs registered in the City. You may want to <br />discuss expanding the impacted breeds and revising language in the vicious dog <br />ordinance. Staff is still considering revisions, I would recommend holding off on <br />presentation of the ordinance until we have looked at the relationship and impact <br />of each ordinance. <br /> <br />Daniel and Henry <br />Our insurance provider, , presented the annual liability results <br />for the past year this week. The financial statements, loss analysis for liability <br />and worker’s comp are available in a binder. I have marked two copies—one for <br />Council in the Clerk’s office and forwarded a second to the Library. I also have a <br />copy in my office if you are interested.
