<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 24, 2006 <br /> <br />The Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of <br />the City Hall, on Monday, July 24, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> <br />Also present were the City Manager, Julie Feier. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />July 10, 2006, Regular Council session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Ms. Brot and unanimously approved. <br />July 10, 2006, Executive session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by Ms. <br />Brot, seconded by Mr. Price and unanimously approved. <br />July 19, 2006, Special Session minutes were moved for adoption as amended by Mr. <br />Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Ms. Brot and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Morton Hyman was appointed to the Traffic Commission by Mr. Glickert and was <br />seconded by Mr. Wagner. <br />Jodi Ladner was appointed to the Traffic Commission by Ms. Brot and was seconded by <br />Mr. Wagner. <br />Julie Bianchi was appointed to the Arts & Letters Commission by Ms. Brot and was <br />seconded by Mr. Wagner. <br />Jen Jensen was reappointed by Ms. Brot to the Historic Commission and was seconded by <br />Mr. Wagner. <br />E. Terrance Jones was appointed by Mayor Adams to the Second Century Commission <br />and was seconded by Mr. Wagner. <br /> <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY WARD TWO APPLICANTS <br />The following gave a five minute or less presentation of why they felt they should be <br />chosen to represent Ward Two as a Councilmember. <br />1. Lisa Greening <br />2. Edward McCarthy <br />3. Wayne Munkel <br />4. Gloria Nickerson <br />5. Lynn Ricci <br />6. Cameron Sanders <br />Each Councilmember was to mark three of the six candidates for which each would like to <br />see go on to the final vote on August 14, 2006. Mr. Wagner agreed with Ms. Brot that <br />each Councilmember was to choose three applicants and any ballot without three names <br />chosen would be disqualified.
