Traffic Commission 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 862-6767, Fax: (314) 863-9146 CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION July 13, 2011 Melcine Henderson called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. The members present were:  Stefany Brot  Paulette Smith  Jackie Womack  Catherine Nichols  Angelica Gutierrez, Public Works Liaison  Sinan Alpaslan, City Engineer/Assistant Public Works Director  Raymond Lai, Community Development Representative  Shaun Margul, Police Department Representative  Terry Crow, Council Liaison Others present were:  Sharon Logan, Resident at 1336 Waldron Avenue  Stacey Wilson, Resident at 1401 Quendo Avenue  LA Medley, Resident at 1417 Quendo Ave  Joe Downy, HB Realty Corp Representative  Kent Evans, Principal Real Estate Representative  Chi Feng Zee-Cheng, Aedis Architects  Rhein Dabler, Clayton Engineering Representative  Lee Cannon. Crawford, Bunte, Brammeier Representative 1. Approval of Minutes June 8, 2011 Commissioner Brot made a motion to approve the minutes from June 8, 2011, seconded by Commissioner Smith and unanimously approved. 2. Request for Speed Control on Warder Avenue between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Avenue. Mrs. Linda Collins-Shaw, resident at 846 Warder Avenue, presented her traffic request to post signs warning drivers about pedestrian activity or children playing. The location of the request is Warder Ave between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Avenue. Ms. Shaw is concerned about traffic and vehicles speed on Warder Ave, where slopes and grades change between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Avenue. Mrs. Collins-Shaw explained that street condition is in need of repair, and that street is being used as a cut through access between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Ave. Traffic Commission Minutes – July 13, 2011 Page 1
