She asked
the City Manager to get out the word of the available scholarship funds for the l
Commons. She noted that this citizen also asked if University City could contact
Humana Healthcare to request that they make Centennial Commons one of the
approved recreational facilities, so the health insurance provider would then pay the
membership cost for that member. Finally, Mayor Welsch asked the City Clerk to place
a number of e-mails from City Manager Lehman Walker and Director of Community
Development Andrea Riganti into the record. She said these would clarify a number of
mis-statements that were made at the Council meeting of August 8, 2011, on the issue
of Conditional Use Permits and the timeline for the approval process for the
unanimously-approved Walgreens development. She noted that some clarification on
the transmittal letter that is used by the Department of Community Development is also
being provided for the record.

Mayor Welsch moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 p.m.

Joyce Pumm, MRCC
City Clerk
7
