COUNCIL REPORTS AND DISCUSSION <br />1. <br />Council Liaison reports on Boards and Commissions <br />Ms. Ricci stated the Parks’ Commission requested the driving range lights be placed <br />on the next Council’s agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch said she attended what could be the final meeting of the I-170/Olive <br />Boulevard Joint Redevelopment Force. The member approved a final report that will <br />be presented at a joint session of the Olivette and University City councils. Mayor <br />Welsch noted that Mr. Walker asked all members of the Council to let him know if <br />October 17 and/or 18 would work better for this joint meeting. She said that Mr. <br />Walker has only heard from three members of this Council and encouraged the <br />others to contact him as soon as possible. Mayor Welsch said she met with Mr. <br />Walker and Ms. Pumm to finalize the packet to be sent to new board and <br />commission members. <br /> <br />M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />BILLS <br />1. BIILL 9118 <br /> – An ordinance amending Chapter 10.44 of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to parking restrictions for specific streets, by repealing Section <br />10.44.010 thereof, relating to parking prohibited on certain streets at all times, and <br />enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.44.010 parking <br />prohibited on certain streets at all times,” thereby amending said section so as to <br />restrict parking at all times on the west side of Melville Avenue thereof from Delmar <br />Boulevard to Kingsbury Avenue, and on the north side of Loop South thereof from <br />Melville Avenue to ninety (90) feet west; containing a saving clause and providing a <br />penalty. <br />This Bill was pulled until it can be reconsidered by the Parks and Traffic <br />Commissions. <br /> <br />2. BILL 9129 <br /> – An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract <br />between the City of University City, Missouri and the Missouri Highways and <br />Transportation Commission providing for sidewalk and curb ramp upgrades on 1200 <br />nd <br />through 1500 blocks of 82 Boulevard, 6500 through 6900 blocks of Etzel Avenue, <br />1000 through 1200 blocks of Kingsland Avenue, and 8600 through 9000 blocks of <br />Old Bonhomme Avenue. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci moved to approve Bill 9129 and was seconded by Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote was: <br />AYES: Ms. Ricci, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, and Mayor Welsch. <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9129 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6863. <br /> <br />3.
