<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />September 26, 2011 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, <br />on Monday, September 26, 2011, Mayor pro-tem Author Sharpe called the meeting to order <br />at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor pro-tem Sharpe, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Stephen Kraft <br />Mr. Michael Glickert <br />Mr. Byron Price <br /> <br />Councilmembers Lynn Ricci, Terry Crow and Mayor Shelley Welsch were excused. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was City Manager Lehman Walker <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mr. Kraft moved for approval of the revised agenda, was seconded by Mr. Glickert and <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. <br />The minutes of the September 12, 2011, City Council Study Session were moved <br />for approval by Mr. Glickert, seconded by Mr. Kraft and the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br />The minutes of the September 12, 2011, City Council Regular Session minutes <br />were moved for approval by Mr. Kraft and were seconded by Mr. Glickert. Mr. <br />Glickert moved to amend a statement made by City Manager Walker which should <br />read that the reduced rates pertain only to the golf course not the driving range. <br />The motion to amend was seconded by Mr. Kraft and carried unanimously. The <br />vote on the minutes as amended carried unanimously. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. <br />BeccaGlucksteinwas nominated to the Sweat Free Task Force by Mayor pro- <br />tem Sharpe for Mayor Welsch, was seconded by Mr. Kraft and carried <br /> <br />unanimously. <br />2. <br />Phyllis Blalock was nominated to the Traffic Commission by Mayor Pro-tem <br /> <br />Sharpe for Ms. Ricci, seconded by Mr. Glickert and carried unanimously. <br />3. <br />Lois Sechrist was nominated to the Green Practices Commission by Mayor pro- <br /> <br />tem Sharpe for Mr. Crow, seconded by Mr. Kraft and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />H. SWEARING IN <br />1. <br />Beth Ostroff was sworn in to the Library Board in the City Clerk’s Office. <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
