Mr. Ware discussed the list of places at which the survey is to be distributed.
Ms. Carter asked Task Force members to discuss when the surveys are to be
distributed. She stated that trays are to be set up at the following locations: Centennial
Commons, City Hall, University City Library, The McNair Building, and the Community
Center.
A suggestion was made that summer may not be the best time to distribute to the
churches.
Task Force members decided that Monday, October 3 will be the final collection date for
the completed surveys.
Ms. Carter stated that the final collection date has been set and the distribution of the
surveys will be determined when they are printed.
The senior surveys will be distributed to all churches, on survey monkey, at the City
Library, Centennial Commons, Gatesworth, The Crown Center, and the Community
Center.
There will be three boxes at the five locations previously mentions. One box will be for
youth surveys, one for senior surveys, and one to collect completed surveys.
A question was asked about adults completing the youth survey and that it might be a
good way to get adults to start thinking about those issues.
It was stated that the youth surveys are to be completed only by youth.
Mr. Ware stated that age groups are indicated on the survey. The survey is complete
and will not be changed. We can determine the results of the survey and share with
others. The purpose of the survey is to get the voice and opinions of youth first.
Ms. Robards stated that the surveys will provide a snapshot of what people think and
then we can decide where to go from there.
Ms. Carter stated that a list will be sent regarding where the surveys are to be
distributed and we will decide who will monitor each spot. University Forest will be
contacted. There will possibly be advertisements on the radio. Neighborhood
associations will also be contacted for distribution.
Ms. Carter stated that the items just discussed were all items from the May 5 minutes.
The meeting adjourned.
tm;
E
