th
Karen – On April 18, Maxine and Karen went to the senior center to distribute the survey.
Approximately 17 or 18 people were there. They asked about assisted living and incorporated
that into the survey. The longest interview took about 40 minutes. Most surveys took about 20
minutes.
Questions/Comments and discussion:
-Should we include among the questions, “What resources are available?”
-It could be helpful but it could lengthen the time it takes to complete the survey. There is
no point in doing that if no good information will come from it.
-Question about numbers: How many surveys can be done on free site for survey monkey?
We should find out who and how many will be surveyed.
-Things will change as we go through the process.
th
-Survey was going to go to April 28 event. Did it?
-No. It was not ready yet. We need to work backwards and find out what we need
regarding the survey.
-Comment about youth survey: It should refer to “school district,” not just “district.”
-Review of survey for the seniors
-Change elderly to “senior citizens.”
Discussion about transportation questions
-Will get more “unsure” answers if questions are general.
-Example: If their house is safe, maybe others’ houses are not.
-The way the questions are written, it seems like a lot of people will answer “unsure.”
-Some of the questions should be personal, others should be general.
-If left general, they will answer what they think of the community as a whole.
-People may still answer personally rather than generally. Maybe a question should be
added about if they think others in University City feel that way.
-At the end of the survey, we ask, “How did the community score?”
Page of
