-That should not be on the survey.That is for us to determine. <br />-The survey is too long. It’s possible that people may not complete it because of the <br />length. <br />-One thought was to do it with a group to get a lot done at once. We should go to places <br />and events and give the survey out. <br />-It will be helpful to get the opinion of seniors who live on their own and not in a <br />supportive center. <br />-What about 1 McKnight Place? The Mayor said it was important to include those <br />residents in the survey. <br />-Those at McKnight Place have all the services they need. <br />-University City relies heavily on communicating with email. Not everyone has access to <br />email and/or computers. Maybe that should be included on the survey. We could ask <br />questions such as: Do you have a computer? How can we communicate with you? Do <br />you use email? Would you like to get a newsletter? <br />-We need to find out how many senior citizens we have in University City. <br />-Demographic data is scheduled to come out in June. <br />-There is a lot of information on the survey. <br />-Are we targeting seniors at their homes? <br />-How does everyone feel about the length of the survey? <br />The group reviewed examples of questions that could be taken out of the survey. <br />-The first question in transportation could be combined with the second question. <br />-Change “elderly” to “seniors” in entire survey. <br />-Eliminate question about number of elders and question about diversity of age groups. <br />Add affordable to questions. Remove long question about cultural/social events. <br />-Add note to survey at bottom showing “for official use only.” <br />-Remove on page 2 and 3 “Is my community elder friendly.” <br />Page <br />of <br /> <br />
