A question was asked about what to do once we hit our mark of 300 surveys. Victor
asked if results can be analyzed after entering them online. Clay stated that survey
monkey has that capability.
Abbie said that University Forest and Ackert Park have not completed the surveys they
were given. Gatesworth surveys were not included in original count. Shirley still has
some surveys.
Clay mentioned his concern related to the Youth Initiative that if we are working at the
same time, some work may be duplicated. We do not know where the kids come from
that attend those meetings or what agency they’re with.
Victor said there is a regional group, a separate group, interested in helping University
City students. Perhaps we can focus on services and resources and they can focus on
how to keep kids out of trouble.
Clay added that we need to capture all ideas coming in. Perhaps there should be a
website where people could enter their ideas.
Victor said he had talked to people about a website to share positive ideas in U City.
The meeting concluded with discussion about the meeting of the Regional Initiative on
Youth and the Regional Arts Commission involvement in the CAT House. CAT stands
for Community Arts Training. Other discussion included the Youth Advisory Committee
whose purpose is to advise City Council on matters pertaining to youth.
tm;
šE
