SESSION 1669 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 10, 1996 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the City Council of University City was held in Room 6 of City Hall on Monday, <br />June 10, 1996, to consider bids for a new roof on the recreation facility and to approve an ordinance <br />specifying that University City wishes to have its share of the Capital Improvements Sales Tax come <br />from the municipal trust fund. Notice of the meeting was posted on Friday, June 7, 1996. Mayor <br />Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. The following members of the Council <br />were present: <br /> Mr. Hardy Ware <br /> Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmembers Lawrence Lieberman and Robert G. Wagner. <br /> <br />Also present were City Manager Frank Ollendorff and Deputy City Manager Kimberley Trombly. <br /> <br />HEMAN PARK RECREATION FACILITY ROOF <br /> <br />The City Manager said the following bids were received for applying a new rubber roof system over <br />the existing metal deck on the Heman Park recreation facility: <br /> <br />Bartch Roofing <br />Wesbar Corporation <br />Metro Roofing <br />Werner Roofing <br />Martin Roofing <br />Vince Kelley Construction & Remodeling <br />Bi-State Roofing <br /> <br />$ 73,599 <br />$ 78,605 <br />$ 82,164 <br />$ 86,450 <br />$ 90,894 <br />$105,330 <br />$120,613 <br /> <br />No minority/woman owned firms responded. It was recommended that the award go to Bartch Roof- <br />ing for their low bid of $73,599. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval.
