<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />October 23, 2006 <br /> <br />At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers <br />of the City Hall, on Monday, October 23, 2006, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order <br />at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr.’s, absence was excused. <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager, Ms. Julie Feier. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of October 9, 2006, Regular Council Session were moved for adoption by Mr. <br />Wagner, seconded by Ms. Brot and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />The minutes of October 9, 2006, Study Session were moved for adoption by Mr. Glickert, <br />seconded by Mr. Wagner and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />? <br /> Mayor Adams read Mr. Sharpe, Jr. nomination of Donnie Robinson, Sr., to the Traffic <br />Commission; it was seconded by Mr. Wagner and unanimously approved. <br />? <br /> Mayor Adams nominated for Mr. Sharpe, Jr., Andrew Rehfeld, to the Second Century <br />Commission, seconded by Mr. Wagner and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S AGENDA <br />— <br />CONSENT CALENDAR Councilmembers had asked that items on Consent calendar be <br /> <br />discussed. <br />1. <br />Fan Coil in Heating Units in EOC and Police Department <br /> Bid was recommended for the low bidder of County Heating & Cooling for $23,742. <br /> Ms. Brot had asked the City Manager to give the Council her reasons for this <br /> recommendation. <br />Mr. Wagner moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Glickert and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Petition for license to sell intoxicating liquor by the drink at retail <br /> This was a request for liquor license for liquor to be sold by a drink. Ms. Brot was <br /> concerned about the lack of experience by the owner. She would like more <br /> information on the owner’s experience or that of the manager if the later was going to <br /> operate the business. It was pointed out by Councilmember Ms. Ricci that many of <br /> the pertinent questions were answered N/A, when truly they were important questions <br /> needing answers: perhaps there was a language barrier. <br />Ms. Brot moved to turn down this license until owner had been in business for six months. <br /> <br /> <br />
