SESSION 1667 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 20, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on <br />Monday, May 20, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition <br />to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />APPOINTMFNT OF THIRDWARD COUNCII,MF~MBER <br /> <br />Mrs. Thompson moved the appointment of Mr. Hardy Ware, 1465 Forest Green Court, as Council- <br />member of the Third Ward. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Munkel, Wagner, Lieberman, Schoomer, Thompson, and Mayor Adams. <br />NAYS: None. Mayor Adams said Mr. Ware will be given the oath of office on June 3, 1996. The <br />appointment is for one year, as the Charter requires an election for that seat next April. <br /> <br />OTHER APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointment of Mr. Gregory Alan Barnes, 7336 Dartmouth, to the Traffic <br />Commission for a term expiring January 21, 1999. Mrs. Thompson seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved that Mrs. Deborah Ann Geibel, 1258 Hafner Place, be appointed to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission for an unexpired term ending September 9, 1998. Mr. Wagner seconded the <br />motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />The City Clerk read the title of a resolution which deems it necessary to improve the parking facilities <br />at 6319 Delmar Boulevard. Mr. Schoomer moved adoption, with Mr. Wagner seconding the motion. <br />All voted Aye. <br /> <br /> <br />
