Traffic Commission

6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 862-6767, Fax: (314) 863-9146

exceed the off-street parking requirement established by the University City Zoning Code
since a multi-level parking garage is also proposed to be built on the property.

Additionally, this development was considered by Crawford, Bunte and Brammeier (Traffic
Engineer Consulting Firm) while evaluating traffic impact for the proposed Delmar-Delcrest
(West) traffic signal/Walgreens Development and it was included under “Other
Considerations”, as a 200 to 250 apartment units future development. In this study the
following was mentioned: “…Additional traffic generated by that development would
bolster the traffic volumes at the Delcrest Drive (west)/Delmar Boulevard intersection and
further justify the need for a traffic signal at the intersection. No Specific assignments of
trips or operational evaluations have been completed for that site at this time.”
Commissioner Henderson was satisfied with Mrs. Gutierrez explanation and needed no
further information.

The Plan Commission of University City, Missouri will hold a public hearing on Monday,
November 21, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the EOC Room located in the basement of City Hall,
6801 Delmar Boulevard, to consider the application of David Braswell with Delcrest
Apartments, LLC for a Conditional Use Permit in the HRO – High Density Residential /
Office District to allow common recreation facilities and rental offices for a proposed multi-
family development at 8342 Delcrest Drive.

Commissioner Henderson mentioned that all comments and discussion will be forwarded
to the Plan Commission for their November 21, 2011 meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes prepared by Angelica Gutierrez, Public Works Liaison

Traffic Commission Minutes – November 9, 2011 Page 3
