<br />Meeting minutes of the Board of Trustees for the University City Public Library, June 22, 2011 <br /> <br />Attendance <br />Members Present: <br />Susan Glassman, Luise Hoffman, Serena Jones, Joy Lieberman, <br />Larry Nolan, David Stokes, Deborah Arbogast <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />John Douglas (excused), William Baldwin <br /> <br />City Council Liaison: <br />Steve Kraft <br /> <br />Library Staff: <br />Patrick Wall-Director <br /> <br />___________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />The meeting of the University City Public Library Board was called to order at 5:16 PM by <br />Larry Nolan, President <br /> <br />Minutes <br />The minutes from the May 11, 2011 meeting were approved without corrections <br /> <br />Correspondence <br />A thank you note was received from Gary Wells of Operation Food Search for the food <br />collection by the library. <br /> <br /> <br />The June meeting was a luncheon for Linda Ballard. <br />- <br />2012. Local authors were to be called to see if any are willing to do a program at the library. <br /> <br />(full report attached) <br /> <br />Circulation is reported to be up <br /> <br />The new board member, Serena Jones, was appointed by Councilman Arthur Sharpe <br /> <br />The Blood Drive is coming <br />David Stokes requested an email reminder to board members for the blood drive <br /> Larry Nolan requested a calendar of all upcoming library events <br /> <br />The increase on the air conditioning service fees will be billed one-half in this year and <br />one- <br />whether the rebate program can be extended <br /> <br />The St. Louis County library invoice is pending waiting to hear from STL county <br />library. The amount is in line with past payments. University City residents may now <br />place holds on STL County items. The cost per item has not increased. The library has <br />the same relationship with the City of St. Louis <br /> <br />Staff changes: Christa Van Herreweghe is the new assistant director, Annie Fuller is the <br />new head of reference. <br /> <br />
