<br />Approximately 2500 books from the 800s (literary history, criticism, essays, etc.) that <br />have not been checked out in 10 years will be sold. Library capacity 170,000 volume and <br />currently 190,000 volumes <br /> <br />The City Youth Employment program has been very successful <br /> <br />MLPD meeting- discussed Sunshine Law; official designation of a custodian of records; <br />all records, except personnel records, are public records; distribution of preloaded <br />Kindles and Nooks (Fontbonne University); alternative shelving methods <br /> <br />Great start to the summer reading program-last year 110 volumes, this year 150 volumes <br /> <br />Library policies will be updated <br /> <br />Memorial Day run netted $7500 for the library <br /> <br />Would like to put the parking lot repair out for bid <br /> <br />ILS taskforce continues to look at shared automation system, considering various <br />vendors-recommendation to sign non binding letters of interest requesting information <br />from vendors <br /> <br />President Report <br />Larry Nolan requested a calendar for monthly board meeting, committee meetings and major <br />er meeting. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />None <br /> <br />Council Liaison <br /> Councilman Kraft reported the budget passed in the City Council with a slight surplus. The <br />process began in the fall and 1.5 million was cut.
