SESSION 1664 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 6, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on <br />Monday, May 6, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to <br />the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieherman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the April 22, 1996, minutes as submitted. Mr. Schoomer seconded the <br />motion, which carded unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayor Adams noted that Councilmember Lieberman requested that Consent Calendar Item #4 be re- <br />moved from the Consent Calendar and considered separately. It was so ordered. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams said an item should be added to the agenda having to do with the City Council meeting <br />schedule. Mr. Schoomer so moved, seconded by Mr. Wagner, and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (THREE ITEMS) <br /> <br />Vacating 66th Street South of Olive (#1). It was recommended that a public hearing be set for 7:30 p.m. <br />May 20, 1996, in the Council Chambers to receive comments on the request of adjacent property owners <br />to vacate 66th Street south of Olive so that it may be cleaned up and fenced off by those owners. The <br />road serves no public purpose, and the portion to the south was vacated some years ago. <br /> <br />Communication Equipment Maintenance (#2). Invitations to bid on a communications service contract <br />for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, were sent to two area companies; only A&E Electronics re- <br />sponded with the following bid: <br /> Monthly Contract Charge <br /> Police Department $ 750 <br /> Fire Department 411 <br /> <br /> <br />
