Michael Glickert, Council Liaison <br />Genise Lay, University City Staff Liaison <br />Dennis Riggs, HEC Representative <br />Mary Williams, University City School District Representative <br />MISSION STATEMENT <br />The City of University City Commission for Access and Local Original Programming (CALOP) <br />strives to fund and facilitate cultural and educational programs produced for broadcast on <br />regional cable channels and other media, focused first on the needs of the citizens of University <br />City and the St. Louis Region with regards to the area’s rich heritage and cultural contributions <br />of our diverse city and region. <br />GOAL <br />It is the intent of CALOP to provide funding and mentoring to enable the production of video <br />programs that enhance the historical, cultural and artistic knowledge and experience of the <br />citizens of the City of University City and of the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area and to <br />enable the production of video programs that support the community and the economic <br />development and health of our city. <br />OBJECTIVE ONE <br />To provide grant money to local video producers to create video programs concerning the <br />cultural, historical, or artistic experience of the City of University City and of the Region, as well <br />as programs that support the community and the economic development and health of our city, <br />to be aired on cable networks, on the internet and other media. <br />PROCEDURE TO ACHIEVE CALOP OBJECTIVE ONE <br />CALOP has established two grant rounds each fiscal year. One grant round is to be held <br />in the fall and one in the spring following the start of each fiscal year. <br /> <br />
