• Develop a synergy with the Regional Arts Commission and Missouri Arts Council and other
such Commissions and Universities affiliated with the visual arts.
• Establish ties with local film-and video-making societies to actively communicate our
purposes and goals as well as to establish them as a public relations arm to reach
independent
producers in the St. Louis Region. Network with them through links on our web site and
theirs.
• Collaborate with other University City Commissions and organizations in achieving
some of their goals through producing and showing CALOP films. CALOP will have
an on-going relationship with the Historical Society in supplying films for programs
presented by the Society and open to all citizens of University City.
OBJECTIVE FOUR
To provide guidance in creating with University City High School an on-going program to
introduce and educate students in the video making process. The final goal is that a film capable
of being aired by the cable channels be produced on a yearly basis.
PROCEDURE TO ACHIEVE CALOP OBJECTIVE FOUR
Create, monitor and fund a program in conjunction with University City High School to
educate and assist students in all aspects of video and film production.
• Set aside an amount each fiscal year for the specific purpose of funding the activities of
a program at University City High School.
• The Commission will monitor and assist the development of the video program at the
High School with the assistance of outside sources from local higher learning
educational institutions and from the professional community.
• It is hoped that the students involved will produce, on an on-going basis (at least one film
per year), films that reflect the mission and goals of CALOP as previously stated.
•The Commission as a whole will work in tandem with the administration of University
City High School to monitor the progress of this program.
OBJECTIVE FIVE
To be fiscally responsible to the citizens of University City and to seek other funding
sources.
PROCEDURE TO ACHIEVE CALOP OBJECTIVE FIVE
