Park Commission Minutes – 112211, pg. 3 John Sweeney – Flynn Park – still a mess; Lewis Park – looks wonderful; Adams Park – looks good. Unfinished Business - none New Business Proposed Review of Current Fee Structure for Recreation Division Facilities/Programs Ms. Riganti indicated Administration has asked staff to study its fee structure for possible changes. Fee recommendations will be presented at the January meeting. Ms. Palmer expressed concern over the March 15, 2012 deadline for ADA compliance of our facilities, including Ruth Park Golf Course. Ms. Ricci showed a conceptual drawing of the new amphitheater for the Parkview Gardens area. Ms. Dille raised the questions of requiring mandatory attendance by commission members to Parkview Garden public meetings. Ms. Riganti indicated commission members are invited to attend the upcoming Planning Commission meeting or she can request the consultants present their information at a future Park Commission meeting. Old Business Fee Waiver for Special Event Requests: Mr. Sweeney recommended the delaying the vote until additional information is provided by City Council. Heman Pool Rules/Polices: Music Policy for Heman Park Swimming Pool After much discussion, Ms. Palmer indicated she would research other music alternatives and report her findings to staff. Mr. Sweeney recommended this issue be delayed until the February meeting. Nominating Committee for January Park Commission Elections Ms. Peoples indicated no other commission members have expressed an interest being the President and felt Mr. Sweeney was doing a fine job. Mr. Sweeney stated he has no interest in being President for a second term and stressed the importance of electing a Secretary for the Commission. Ms. Dille moved to adjourn. Mr. Field second. All in favor. The meeting ended at 8:32 pm.
