<br />the Auditor’s had to supervise before they could even start their audit. He said Council is <br />partly responsible for the problem and stated that it needed to be fixed. Mr. Kraft said this <br />Council has taken the first step in hiring the Auditor, this is also the first time in thirteen years <br />that the report has been delivered directly to the Council and this is the first time the Council <br />has said that the problem needed to be fixed. He said he looked forward to seeing the report <br />provided by the Financial Consultant evaluation. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci compared audit report findings from the previous year, especially in the finding of <br />incomplete reconciliations, and said it showed the lack of concern that the previous CPA firm <br />had for University City’s finance procedures. <br /> <br />Mr. Price asked about the study the City was doing on the feasibility of the City owning the <br />street lights and poles. He said that he is totally against Bill 9148 which adjusted the City <br />Clerk’s pay range, noting that it was not in the budget. He said the employees have not <br />received raises. Mr. Price asked the City Manager to have the PR firm give a presentation of <br />where they are and their current status. He asked for a report on the membership at <br />Centennial commons and asked if they were going to offer a free week as they had last year. <br />Mr. Price asked the City Manager for a report on the status of the IT department and more <br />detail on the backup project suggested. He asked about the status of the City Manager’s <br />pictures in City Hall. <br /> <br />th <br />The Mayor said that there is a Public Budget Meeting on Wednesday, January 25 at 6:00 <br />p.m. in the Administration Building. She encouraged residents and Council to attend. She <br />said she has a meeting the following night with community volunteers on the Movies in the <br />Park. Mayor Welsch said there are seven movies scheduled for Movies in the Parks from April <br />until October. She asked for any volunteers to let her know if they would be interested in <br />assisting. The Mayor encouraged everyone to look at the Chamber of Commerce website. <br />She said the University City Police Department Focus Group would meet the following night at <br />6:00 p.m. at Heman Park Community City. Mayor Welsch said she attended the U.S. <br />Conference of Mayors, in Washington D.C. She noted that W.I.T.S. is a not for profit agency <br />that sponsors free electronics and appliance recycling the first Saturday of every month at <br />Rittenour High School off of St. Charles Rock Road. . <br /> <br />Q.
