Staff is in support of the 8-month extension. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr made a motion to approve the 8-month extension of the JDO Joint Development <br />Zoning Overlay. The motion was seconded by Ms. Greening. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />Mr. Lai provided the Department Report. Regarding the Kingsland Walk project, which came <br />before the Plan Commission on November 21, a public hearing was held at the December 12 <br />City Council meeting. One person spoke in favor of the project. A resolution was adopted <br />approving the Preliminary Development Plan. The first reading of the ordinance for the map <br />amendment was read. <br /> <br />The Conditional Use Permit for 8342 Delcrest Drive was also on the December 12 City Council <br />agenda. One person spoke at the meeting and expressed concerns about the traffic, trash <br />compactor, and potential damage to neighboring property during construction. The developer <br />was present and provided a revised site plan showing the relocation of the trash compactor. The <br />developer will also be submitting further information to Public Works regarding traffic. The <br />C.U.P. was granted approval from City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Lai also mentioned that the election of officers will be on the agenda for the January 2012 <br />Plan Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Ms. Greening asked if a member can be chairperson for two years in a row. Mr. Lai confirmed <br />that they can. <br /> <br />Mr. Lai noted that there will be an election of a designated alternate as stated in the bylaws. <br /> <br />Mr. Lai asked the members if the January 25, 2012 meeting can be postpone to February 1 in <br />order to work with the Parkview Gardens Planning consultants. Other commission schedules <br />still have to be checked, but an alternative date is being sought. Staff will follow up with <br />members via email. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm. <br />tm; E <br />
