<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />March 12, 2012 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, on <br />Monday, March 12, 2012, Mayor Shelly Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition <br />to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron Price <br />Ms. Lynn Ricci <br />Mr. Stephen Kraft <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. L. Michael Glickert <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mr. Walker asked to amend the agenda by removing Item K3, the Reciprocal Golf Agreement <br />on the City Manager’s report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Glickert moved to amend the agenda to remove the third item on the City Manager’s <br />agenda, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe, and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br /> E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. The minutes of February 27, 2012, City Council Study session was moved for approval by <br />Mr. Sharpe, was seconded by Ms. Ricci and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2. The minutes of February 27, 2012, City Council Regular session was moved for approval <br />by Mr. Glickert, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br /> 1. Mr. Crow moved to nominate Michael Gingrich to the Traffic Commission, replacing Hyla <br />Bondareff, was seconded by Mr. Mr. Glickert and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Mayor Welsch moved to nominate Joe Totherow to the CALOP Commission replacing <br />Mae Etta Weston, was seconded by Ms. Ricci. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sharpe said that all Boards and Commissions members should be notified when their <br />term is expiring. The Mayor said she would draft a letter to be used to inform members in <br />a timely manner as to the expirations of their term and to thank them for their services; <br />inviting them to apply for another commission. <br /> <br /> Mr. Crow said that he knows there are some challenges in getting volunteers for the <br />Boards and Commissions, but would like for everyone to keep in mind the diversity within <br />the community. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
