The
site plan was just distributed to the Council last week and has not yet been studied by the Council or City staff.
Brief discussion on the site plan can occur tonight and neighbors will be heard, but no action will be taken tonight on it. The
site plan would be acted on at the next meeting, August 18, 1997, at the earliest. The zoning would be voted on sometime
in September.

Ms. Ann Sciortino, 502 Donne Ave., said that her lot parallels 501 North & South Road. She wanted to clarify whether or
not the project in question was three stories or three and a half stories. Mr. Ollendorff replied that the site plan denotes a
three story building, but the apartments on the third ,oor would include a loft. The Iott would make the building three and a
half stories. Ms. Sciortino said that at the last Plan Commission meeting, the project was described as three story. Mr.
Ollendorffsald that it very well could have been. She also asked about what it meant in the agenda description, bottom of
page, where it states "..rezoning is consistent with the goals and objectives of the University City comprehensive plan." She
stated that she thought it was wonderful that University City had a comprehensive plan, but she is not sure that the zoning is
consistent with that actual location. She likes the fact that it is two separate buildings, but to her, the height of the building
and the slope of the land, will cause the buildings to look even higher. The reason why she bought a home in University
City was because of the neighborhood. Even the duplexes and the four family units keep up with the architectural structure
and history of the neighborhood.

Mr. Robert Wood, 343 No. Meramec, Clayton, said that he usually is the loyal opposition, but does not think he is really
opposed to this project. He does not have any basic information and asked for a brief verbal description from Council.
Mayor Adams said that the plan details two buildings. Mr. Ollendorffsald that the site plan involves two, three and a half
story buildings. There would be nine apartments in each of the two buildings, underground parking, and elevators. Mr.
Wood said that one of the things that bothers him as a neighbor, are the lot lines. Mr. Ollendorffsald the developer would
be asked to come up and answer a few questions and that the plans would be on file in the o~ce of the Planning Director, if
anyone was interested in viewing them.
