<br /> <br />Ms. Carr asked about demolition of the buildings and if there are any architecturally significant <br />tiles or other features in the buildings that should be retrieved. She noted that there are such <br />features in the other University City schools. <br /> <br />Mr. Braswell stated that there was a fire in the building resulting in a lot of damage and there are <br />no architecturally significant items within the building. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia asked about on-street parking and stated that it may become a premium. <br /> <br />Mr. Braswell stated that a parking structure is proposed. He added that the Crown Center is <br />short of parking. He is currently negotiating a plan for a one-level parking structure at the <br />Crown Center to be constructed at the same time as the proposed parking structure at 8342 <br />Delcrest. He added that they have not discussed this proposal with University City. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti stated that staff recommends approval of the blighting analysis and redevelopment <br />plan. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr made a motion to approve the blighting analysis and redevelopment plan. The motion <br />was seconded by Ms. Felton. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Election of Officers <br /> <br />Ms. Lewis called for nomination of officers. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia nominated Ben Halpert to serve as Chairperson. The motion was seconded by Ms. <br />Carr. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia nominated Deidre Lewis to serve as Vice-Chairperson. The motion was seconded <br />by Ms. Felton. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ms. Felton nominated Ben Senturia to serve as Designated Alternate. The motion was seconded <br />by Ms. Carr. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft stated he had seen various versions of the Parkview Gardens presentation. He stated <br />that the consultants do a good job and encouraged the Plan Commission members to attend the <br />next public workshop to be held at the library and it would be worthwhile to attend. Regarding <br />City Council matters, he added that the budget will likely be different this year in that it will be <br />split into an operating budget and a capital budget to make certain items less confusing. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />tm;  šE  <br /> <br />
