lower the existing poles and lights, lower the existing driving range pads and create a <br />berm to provide additional landscaping. <br /> <br />Staff recommended the new poles and lights and an additional landscaping at an <br />estimated cost of $69,400, which would be submitted as additional budget request for <br />Fiscal Year 2013. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS 2012 – 3 <br />Municipal Election, April 3, 2012 results as certified by the St. Louis County Board of Elections. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve the resolution, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch thanked Ms. Lynn Ricci for her services over the past six years for working for <br />the residents of Ward 2 and the City of University City. COUNCIL REPORTS/BUSINESS <br />4. Other Discussions/Business <br />Mr. Glickert said that the Saturday before Council meetings, a group of concerned citizens <br />meet in the EOC Room for a meeting called U City Participates and everyone was invited <br />to attend. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow had several questions: was there a delay in restricting parking on Groby and <br />the reason why the driving range lights could not be turned on. <br /> <br />Council had a discussion as to whether the Council could motion to have the driving range <br />lights turned on. <br /> <br />City Attorney Paul Martin said that a motion was the same as a resolution in terms of its <br />legality. Mr. Martin stated the Council could make a motion tonight but would have to <br />amend the agenda first to reflect a motion would be made by Council on the lighting at the <br />driving range. He said the resolution previously passed by Council is the Council’s policy <br />until such time they move to change it. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow moved to amend Council’s agenda to include directing the City Manager to turn <br />the Ruth Park Golf Course driving range lights back on during the hours originally <br />approved by the Council and was seconded by Ms. Carr. <br /> <br />Roll call vote was: <br />Ayes: Ms. Carr, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price and Mayor Welsch <br />3 <br /> <br />
