Nays: Mr. Kraft <br /> <br />Mr. Crow moved that Council direct the City Manager to turn the Ruth Park Golf Course <br />driving range lights back on during the hours originally approved by the city Council and <br />was seconded by Ms. Carr. <br /> <br /> Roll call vote was: <br /> Ayes: Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Ms. Carr <br /> Nays: Mr. Kraft, Mr. Glickert and Mayor Welsch <br /> <br /> The motion to turn the driving range lights back on passed by a majority. <br /> <br /> Mayor Welsch asked if anyone would like to nominate a member of Council to serve as <br />Mayor Pro Tem from 2012 to 2014. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert nominated Mr. Sharpe and was seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch said that all members of Council should have received a packet from the <br />City Clerk regarding City Council Liaison appointments and asked if they would send her <br />their top five choices of Boards and Commission they would like to be the liaison to no <br />later than May 8, 2012. Mayor Welsch asked Council to review when the Board or <br />Commission met and if it would fit in their schedule to attend. She noted it was important <br />to have members of Council at the meetings in order to report back to Council. <br /> <br />M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />BILLS <br />1. BILL 9156 – An Ordinance amending Chapter 10.36 of the University City Municipal Code <br />th <br />by adding certain All-Stop intersections (Milan Avenue at 78 Street and Erith Place at <br />Milan Avenue) to section 10.36.090. Stop Intersections – vehicles to stop at certain <br />intersections, as provided herein. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br />Roll call vote was: <br />Ayes: Mr. Price, Ms. Ricci, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Welsch <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Bill 9156 passed and became Ordinance 6889. <br /> <br />N. NEW BUSINESS <br />BILLS <br /> <br />O. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (continued if needed) <br /> Mae Etta Weston, 1595 Mendell Drive <br /> Ms. Weston congratulated the new and reelected Councilmembers. She said the agenda she <br />picked up at the entrance reflected a date of March 26, 2012, and Mayor Welsch apologized <br />for any inconvenience. <br /> <br />P. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Ms. Carr said that she is both humbled and honored to have been elected to represent Ward <br />2. She said that she promises to bring an open government, to concentrate on economic <br />development and strong, safe neighborhoods.
