CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (Total of 15 minutes allowed) <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert asked that Fiscal Year 2013 budget include improvements to Heman Park <br />Pool: new showers with hot/cold water, a floor covering to prevent the paint from pealing, <br />a family changing room, paint for the entire pool and investigate the use of salt water <br />instead of chlorine. She also asked that the Park Commission meet in August as this is a <br />busy month for this commission. Ms. Glickert remarked on the beautiful new linear park on <br />Wilson. <br /> <br />Jan Adams, 7150 Cambridge <br />Ms. Adams had several questions for Ms. Carr in specific, of which she requested a <br />response. She asked that her written statement be part of the record and it was attached <br />to the end of these minutes. <br /> <br />I. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />J. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />K. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. <br />Four 2012 Chevrolet Impala Police Cars Procurement awarded under statewide <br />procurement contract to Don Brown Chevrolet for a total of $82,884. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert moved for approval, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br />Grant approval to upgrade the CAD system in order to bring Fire/EMS dispatching in- <br />house. Initial purchase cost was $142,176 with future each year’s maintenance cost <br />of $15,944. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve the grant program and was seconded by Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Miner gave a brief description of what was needed to move the Fire <br />Department’s dispatch back to the City and the cost savings it would bring. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert asked if the present personnel would be able to handle the increase in <br />calls and Chief Miner said the personnel would remain the same. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />
