Mr. Glickert suggested to the city manager that with the increase in the fees there
was a need to take a look at the hours available for University City citizens. An
example would be what he had experienced on several Sundays. Mr. Glickert said
that approximately 60 youths were playing basketball at 5:30 p.m.; then, the doors
closed at 6:00 p.m., requiring these players to leave. Next at 7:00 p.m. the doors
opened again for the soccer players to enter, but an additional cost of $25 was
charged to reopen. Mr. Glickert felt it was time to increase the hours for our citizens
when needed.

Mr. Price asked if we had enough memberships and was told yes. He did not
understand that if we have enough memberships, why are the prices increasing?
Ms. Feier said that the fees didn’t cover capital costs, only operational costs.

Ms. Brot asked the City Manager to work with her staff and the City Clerk on
analyzing the reason for the lack of quorums and poor attendance.

The motion was passed with one Nay from Mr. Price.

5.
