<br /> <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />May 14, 2012 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, on <br />Monday, May 14, 2012, Mayor Shelly Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. In addition <br />to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron Price <br />Ms. Paulette Carr <br />Mr. Stephen Kraft <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Glickert was excused from the meeting. <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mr. Sharpe asked to remove agenda item Q, calling for a vote to go into Executive Session, <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve the agenda as amended was seconded by Mr. Crow and <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> Mayor Welsch read the proclamation honoring Public Works’ week from May 20 to May 26. <br /> <br /> E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. The minutes of April 23, 2012, City Council Study session was moved for approval by <br /> <br /> Mr. Sharpe, was seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. The minutes of April 23, 2012, City Council Regular session was moved for approval by <br />Mr. Price, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. <br />Alberta Garth was nominated to the Parks’ Commission by Byron Price replacing <br /> <br />Gwendolyn Gaines Beckwith, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br />2. <br />Linda Locke was nominated to the Plan Commission by Paulette Carr replacing <br /> <br />Paulette Carr, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br />3. <br />Helen Fuller was nominated to the Green Practice Commission by Paulette Carr <br /> <br />replacing Donna Leach-Heimos seconded by Mr. Crow and carried unanimously. <br />ndnd <br />4. <br />Luise Hoffman (2 term), Deborah Arbogast (2 term), Susan Glassman (third term), <br />rd <br />and William Baldwin (3 term)were nominated for reappointment to the Library Board <br /> <br />by Stephen Kraft, was seconded by Mr. Crow and carried unanimously. <br />5. <br />Kathy Straatman and Deborah Arbogast were nominated for reappointment to the <br />Board of Adjustment; and Linda Fried to the Urban Forestry Commission by Byron <br /> <br />Price. Seconded by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br />6. <br />Gerald Greiman, Jan Adams, David Damick, Victor Pichon were nominated for <br />reappointment to the Civil Service Board by Mayor Welsch for Mr. Glickert, seconded <br />by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
