SESSION 1701 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY7,1997 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on Monday, July 7, <br />1997, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of <br />the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the June 23, 1997 minutes as submitted. Mr. Ware seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Ueberman noticed the voting results of the resolution on page two of the minutes, for June 23, 1997, were left out and <br />asked to have this information put back in. <br /> <br />Mr. Ueberman made a motion to amend the minutes of June 23, 1997. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked for a motion to approve the entire June 23, 1997 minutes as amended. Mr. Wagner moved approval <br />of the June 23, 1997 minutes as amended. Mr. Ware seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the June 30, 1997 special meeting minutes as submitted. Mr. Munkel seconded the <br />motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman noticed that he was not listed as absent, due to being out of the country, in the June 30, 1997 minutes and <br />asked that this be recorded. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman made a motion to amend the minutes of June 30, 1997. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams called the question on approval of the entire minutes of June 30, 1997 as amended. The all aye vote carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />The following new or reappointed members of the City's boards or commissions were given the oath of office by the City <br />Clerk: Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. - Library Board, Mr. Jim Richardson - Library Board. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams wished to express his sincere thanks to Mr. Sharpe and Mr. Richardson for their wish to serve on this <br />important board. The efforts of all citizens serving on the City's boards and commissions truly help the City to function, as <br />well as being an invaluable resource to the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
