<br />Mr. Crow stated that the Task Force’s goals were what all University City would like to <br />attain. He was concerned out of consistency that Task Forces come directly to Council <br />rather than through applicable commissions and a public hearing process. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft called a “Point of Order” noting that Council was only discussing the agenda not <br />a motion. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Margaret Johnson, 7509 Gannon <br />Ms. Johnson stated there were two issues’ and thought Council was confusing two things., <br />As she noted the Complete Streets legislation was the only thing that was being <br />considered tonight. She said the Bicycle/Pedestrian Plan was not a part of the Compete <br />Streets legislation. Ms. Johnson said it was the understanding of the Task Force to bring <br />the Bike and Walkability report to the Council to look at and then have the Task Force <br />would take it back to the other commissions. She said the Complete Street legislation <br />states when the City does redevelopment, working on City streets and sidewalks, the City <br />would incorporate into their plans all modes of transportation, not just vehicles. <br /> <br />Vote to delay passed by a majority with Nay votes from Mr. Glickert and Mayor Welsch. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert requested a moment of silence for thoughts and prayers in remembrance of <br />Destinee Clemens who was tragically shot Thursday in the 6500 block of Plymouth and for <br />her family in this difficult time. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch reminded Council that the minutes before them are Draft minutes and as <br />was done in the past. If councilmembers would see needed changes prior to the meeting, <br />to please contact the City Clerk so corrections can be made before Council votes. <br />Updated minutes can be distributed. <br />1. <br />The minutes of June 11, 2012, City Council Study session I were moved for approval <br />by Mr. Crow, was seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br />The minutes of June 11, 2012, City Council Regular were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe and was seconded by Mr. Crow. <br /> <br />Mr. Price said none of his comments were included in the minutes. He said he <br />commented on the Aquatics Task Force and on the issue of the new City logo. <br /> <br />City Clerk Joyce Pumm noted it was not an oversight and from legal advice, the City <br />Clerk has working on recording only the agenda items; the motion and its second; by <br />who; secondary motions and amendments moved; and summarized each <br />Councilmembers comments in Council Reports and Business and in Council <br />Comments. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />
