<br /> <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />March 26, 2012 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, on <br />Monday, March 26, 2012, Mayor Shelly Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition <br />to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Lynn Ricci <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. L. Michael Glickert <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Mr. Stephen Kraft was excused <br /> <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager Lehman Walker. <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mayor Welsch asked to add to the agenda a proclamation from the Department of Forestry in <br />celebration of the upcoming Arbor Day. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously for the agenda to be amended. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> Mayor Welsch read the Arbor Day proclamation from University City’s Department of Forestry. <br />She said that she would like to encourage all citizens to support efforts to care for the trees <br />and woodlands and, also support the City’s Community Forestry Program. Mayor Welsch also <br />said that she would like to encourage all citizens to plant trees to gladden the hearts and <br />promote the well-being of the present and future generations. <br /> <br /> E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. The minutes of March 12, 2012, City Council Study session was moved for approval by <br /> <br /> Mr. Sharpe, was seconded by Ms. Ricci and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. The minutes of March 12, 2012, City Council Regular session was moved for approval by <br />Mr. Glickert, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. Mr. Crow nominated Jane North for reappointment to the Historic Preservation <br />Commission, was seconded by Mr. Glickert and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />G. SWEARING IN <br />Robert Frazier was sworn in to the Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority (L.C.R.A.) <br />commission. <br /> <br />Mary Gorman and Debbie Raskas were sworn in to the Loop Special Business District <br />advisory commission in the City Clerk’s office. <br /> <br />Joseph Totherow was sworn in to CALOP in the City Clerk’s office. <br />1 <br /> <br />
