Mr. Wagner moved for approval of the calendar as amended, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and approved unanimously. Ms. Ricci asked about the possibility to have more than three budget meetings with one before April. Ms. Feier stated that the April 14, 2008, meeting is for a Public Hearing to hear citizens’ input and the other two are what had been scheduled previously. Ms. Feier also stated that the finance director did not feel the department would have all of the information that would be needed for an earlier meeting. She said that additional meetings can be scheduled when it gets closer to the time needed. Ms. Feier said that study sessions have not been predetermined for year 2008 as she felt that last year such scheduling forced meetings sometimes prior to the materials being ready for the topic to be covered. Ms. Brot asked why July, August, and September only had one meeting a month as she favored two meetings a month. Ms. Feier explained that July and August have traditionally only had one meeting to allow for vacations and there were two meetings scheduled in September. 2. Special Session Date approval. Ms. Feier said that she would like to schedule a Special Session for the Council prior to the Study Session scheduled on August 20, 2007. The Special Session would be for setting the tax rate for real property. The proposed meeting time would be 6:00 right before the Study Session scheduled for 6:30 p.m. . th Mr. Price moved to approve the August 20 date, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and approved unanimously. 3. Status of September 10, 2007 meeting date. Ms. Feier said that she was aware of two members of the Council, Mayor Adams and Mr. Sharpe, Jr., would be attending the MML conference on September 10. She wanted to know from the Council since budget transfers and a couple of development issues needed to be covered, would enough councilmembers be able to attend the th September 10 meeting. Ms. Ricci said that she also would not be available for the September 10 meeting. Ms. Brot suggested moving the meeting to September 17, 2007, and Ms. Feier said that it would make posting time difficult. Ms. Brot said that she would not be available the week of September 2. Mr. Glickert stated that he would rather have six members be able to attend than just four members so he favored moving it to September 4.
