<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Traffic Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 862-6767, Fax: (314) 863-9146 <br /> <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />August 8, 2012 <br /> <br />At the Traffic Commission meeting of University City held in the EOC room of City Hall, on <br />Wednesday August 8, 2012, Commissioner Melcine Henderson called the meeting to <br />order at 6:40 p.m. In addition to Commissioner Henderson, the following members of the <br />commission were present: <br /> <br /> Stefany Brot <br /> <br /> Catherine Nichols <br /> <br /> Carol Wofsey <br /> <br />Also in attendance was Paulette Carr, Council Liaison, Angelica Gutierrez, Public Works <br />Liaison, Sinan Alpaslan, P.E., City Engineer, Richard Wilson, P.E., Director of Public <br />Works and Parks and Shaun Margul, Police Department Representative. <br /> <br />Members not present: <br /> <br /> Michael Gingrich, excused <br /> <br /> Jackie Womack, excused <br /> <br /> Phyllis Blalock <br /> <br />Others present: <br /> <br /> Jay Rowan, resident at 206 Linden Ave <br /> <br /> Rebecca Schuham, 218 Linden Ave <br /> <br /> Stefania Werner, resident at 212 Linden Ave <br /> <br /> Karen Kalish, resident at 225 Linden Ave <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes July 11, 2012. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wofsey requested the following amendments to the minutes of the July 11, <br />2012 meeting: <br />A. Typo in page #4 - Corrected. <br />B. The Municipal Code Section 10.40.030 - Residential Parking Permit Plan does not allow <br />the 2-hour parking window for non-residential parking within the restricted timeframe in the <br />restricted area. The Residential parking permit plan is for residential parking only with two <br />transferable visitor permits during the restricted timeframe in the restricted area. Outside <br />the restricted timeframe both residential and non-residential vehicles are allowed to park. <br />C. Additionally, the previous parking arrangement implemented for many years (2-hour <br />parking from 8 am to 2 pm) is not incorporated in the Residential Parking Permit Plan. This <br />parking arrangement is independent and not part of the structure of the Plan. <br /> <br />The minutes of the July 11, 2012 were moved for approval with amendments by <br />Commissioner Brot, seconded by Commissioner Wofsey, and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />2.
