There will be no c~ <br />in tennis programs, but some adjustments at the swimming pool--noon opening <br />instead of 1 p.m. Monday-Friday, seasera opening on Memorial Day rather than <br />the prior Saturday, deleting morning lap swim on Tuesday and Thursday, and <br /> <br />planning and publicity may proceed on schedule. He said new programs will <br />be developed in future as the M~man recreation facility project moves along. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman moved approval and Mr. Schoomer seoor~ed the motion. Mrs. Schu- <br />man thought open~ the pool at noon will be very popular. All voted Aye. <br /> <br />SITE PLAN- 7400 OLIVE <br /> <br />The City Manager said a revised plan was received for tb~ for~er l%~hhirtical <br />Oollege at 7400 Olive. The existing build/rig would have 23 a~, and <br />tw~ new three-story buildings would add 20 more units. There would be open <br />space at the south end of the parcel, with a parking area between Olive and <br />the cemetery. ~e said there were concerns that tb~ density would be too high <br />for tb~ surrcu~in~ single family neighborhoods. He suggested either denial <br />or scheduling a public hearing so neighbors can present their views. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoc~er also felt the project would be too dense, but said the applicant <br />was entitled to a public hearing. Mrs. Tnc~pson moved that a public hearing <br />be held January 8, 1996. Mr. Adams seconded, and all voted Aye. In response <br />to Mr. Adams, Mr. Ollendorff said all nearby neighborhoods will be notified. <br /> <br />Mr. W. A. Thomas, representing Louis Aboussie, project sponsor, said all de- <br />ficiencies and conditions specified by the Planning Department will be ~ <br />plied with, including moving a wall to provide for the 25' side yard require- <br />ment. F~ said density will not exceed University City's standards, and it <br />will be quality housing. P~sponding to Mrs. Thompson, Mr. Thomas said he had <br />not personally talked with nearby residents about the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said a revised plan should be sukm%itted well before the hear- <br />ing, so residents may look at it prior to the meeting. Mr. Thc~as agreed. <br /> <br />Mr. COtton asked if it would also be possible to have an artist's rendering <br />of what the completed project will look like. Mr. Thomas said that was being <br />worked_ on. ~ to Mr. Cotton, Mr. Thc~as said the project will not <br />ask for tax abatmment, and each unit will cost about $100,000. <br /> <br />The Police De~-ta~t r~ for November, 1995, was received and ordered <br />filed. <br /> <br />The Personnel report for the week ending December 2, 1995, was received and <br /> <br /> <br />
